Story through color

Through symbolism in color and movement, this portrait project captures mourning, grief, and solidarity with those oppressed from Palestine, to DRC, to Sudan. These are not the only stories nor are they new stories, but ones that hold a history of loss and pain that no human should have to endure of bear witness to.

The project represents many people, and calls for us to remain affected by loss of life and to remember compassion no matter what media, politics, or religious leaders try to justify in conflict. It calls for mourning of all innocent lives affected, for the continued fight for the right to life without disenfranchisement, and call to end all violence and oppression. Our voice is small and insignificant in this, but we hope to express support in this project through the color and emotions projected. Model is co-creator Saaniye shown through series, advocator and storyteller through Grow Project based in Nairobi, Kenya.
